Which is correct and why does the system not allow any data writes to this partition? df says that the system is out of disk space on one of my partitions, but du shows plenty of space left. Also something else I just noticed Gkrellm says that the HD is 96 gigs big and df says its only 90. When partitioning I did use up all the space so I am kinda confused. Edit: cfdisk says that the drive is 96GB. So does gkrellm but DF says its only 90. dac that supports wireless

WebOct 25, 2015 · All of the results I find for "can't write to disk" are about legitimately full disks. I don't even know where to start here. The problem appeared out of nowhere this morning. PHP's last log entry is "failed: No space left on device (28)". Vim says "Unable to open (file) for writing". Other applications give similar errors. WebDec 28, 2024 · I have faced the same disk-full issue umpteen times. The way I fix it is (short-term solution) - moderate usage of Terminal, few simple commands. 1. Press CTRL+ALT+F1 - login to text terminal and type df to confirm on disk free space. 2. sudo apt-get clean - Clears downloaded .deb files stored as cache in /var/cache/apt 3. d. activation-synthesis
