WebOct 10, 2010 · First of all, let me say that my experiment began about 8 months ago. I glued a thin foam pad to the dash with 3M Super 90 spray adhesive, and I glued 4-way stretch vinyl (high-end product) to the foam pad with the same 3M Super 90 spray adhesive. That part has worked great. WebThis dash pad actually had foam that was in still in good condition. Step 2. Step 2. Once the deteriorated vinyl and foam have been removed, the dash pad is recovered with thin foam that has to be glued to the metal or existing foam. This must be done very carefully to get the contour and shape of the original dash correct.
